The time is now...get moving!!

I have been feeling down on myself lately because I know i haven't been in the Word like i ought to and i have been feeling the effects of it. i do talk to God, but when i look back at the last couple of weeks, I know that I have been making it real difficult for me to hear him now.i have been letting my circumstances overshadow my focus on the Word. I have asked him to help me with managing my finances better, to help me with expanding my ministry, and to also hear him more. I have been getting answers to some of my prayers, but i now realize that i can get stuff from God, but not have God,because i havent been listening to him when he speaks. He can allow me certain things that i ask, but if I am not fully into the Word, then i dont have him. I understand that he wants to spend time with me, so therefore the feeling should be reciprocated. but all to often, he gives us things we say thank you, but dont spend any time with him. Just like the woman who was with the rich man, who was not only rich monetarily, but also spiritually. He gave her things, but she never spent any time with him. Only when she was going through something, thats when she would call on him, but she never took the time to listen to anything he said. every word out of his mouth was an answer to any problem she had.
but because she knew what he COULD do, but did not KNOW him, she never grew. So today i was looking for the word that would help me overcome this cloud of despair that sits above me. I went to Joyce Meyers daily devotionals and read it, it was good, but my spirit was telling me to go to Kenneth Copeland's website. Lo and behold lol, it was right smack on point!. it just confirmed exactly how i was feeling and going through, WOW! the WORD IS POWERFUL!!! im realizing that I have to get myself submerged into this Word. the Lord has told me that he has so much blessing and favor he wants to pour out on me, but until I learn how to better manage them and get more into my Word, he cannot give them to me now. People tell me that they enjoy my music, they love the words, the enjoy watching me ministering in person. My goal is to get 100 churches or more before the end of 2010 that will allow me to come minister my music to their congregation. Im just getting started and i have a long way to go, but i know that i have to get back into his Word like i was. it has been a wonderful journey and there is no way in the world that i would stop this for anything. Satan CANT WIN!! God hurts when we fall, but he hurts even more when we dont get back up and continue to walk with him when he's been with us the whole journey. the Word for the day is exactly what i needed to hear to get myself motivated. I hope that it does the same for you. The time is now...get moving!!

Never Fall
Kenneth Copeland

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed.

– 2 Timothy 2:15

A lot of people have been playing games when it comes to the Word. They claim to be faith people in public. But, in private, they never open the Bible at all. Then, when a time of trouble comes and they try to stand on the Word, they fall flat on their spiritual faces.

Well, the time for playing games is over. It's time for us to realize that real faith involves action. James 2:20 says faith without works [or corresponding action] is dead.

If you want the kind of faith that will keep you on your feet when others are falling around you, you need to take some action where the Word is concerned.

First, you need to study. You can study the Word in many ways. You can not only read it, you can dig deeply into it with concordances, Greek/Hebrew dictionaries and other study guides. What's more, if you have a cassette player, you can walk around half the day listening to teaching tapes. It's only one way of study, but it is a powerful one.

The second thing you need to do is go where the Word is being preached. When Romans 10:17 says "faith comes by hearing," it's talking about the preached Word.

Whenever I start feeling surrounded by problems and I'm having trouble hearing from God, I drop everything and find some place where I can hear the Word preached. I've received more answers from God that way than I can count. Even though the preacher may not have been preaching about anything even remotely connected with the issue I was struggling with, some Word of Scripture would suddenly start my thoughts in a certain direction. I'd realize, "That's the answer to that problem I've been dealing with for the past six weeks!"

Third, you need to start confessing the Word you've heard. Find the promise of God that covers your situation and then declare it out loud as if it had already come to pass in your life.

Get serious about the Word of God. Study it. Go hear it preached. Confess it. Become such a diligent workman that the devil himself will look at you with fear and say, "There's one believer who's not playing games anymore."

God is Wonderful...

i remember when i was staying with my sister, i told myself that i would get my own place and that i was going to be straight. but here come Satan again trying to tell me that i "would never get my place", "i would be stuck right where im at" , trying to instill FEAR in me. but as i kept working i kept praying and asking the Lord to help me find a place closer to the job so where i could walk to work. so after about a month of praying and working, i got up on my day off and said "Lord i been asking and praying for you to help me find a place, and i been procrastinating, so i am getting up today and will go looking". so after about an hour of driving around, i was going to call it quits since i hadnt found anything. but something told me to go down this next street, and i seen this place that had a for rent sign in it. i called the owner up and asked him about the place its a 2bd/1bth. after a few minutes of talking, and without meeting him... lets just say God is Wonderful!! and to make it even sweeter, i have everything you can think of within a 5 minute walking distance from me; everything from an ace hardware store on the corner, to a supertarget shopping plaza across the street!. there are some apartments inside the shopping plaza, and i get everything they get for half of what there paying! and how do i know God has given me this?, because my place is 3 blocks away from my job... i have been parking my car and walking to work for the past month ;-) now my only problem is making sure my car cranks up every week lol. my people im here to tell you, no matter whats going on outside in the world, if you keep God in YOUR world, you will find strength to take on new challenges, and peace to keep your heart happy and humble. just because you fall, doesnt mean God has abandoned you... he's waiting for you to get back up, so you both can continue walking by faith!! please leave me your comments.

In the Secret Place of the Most High

By Dr. Frederick K.C. Price
This week's topic: Angels

You may be afraid of flying on an airplane, of going outside at night, or of any number of other things. Fear is a terrible thing; there is
nothing worse than being afraid. But you do not need to be afraid
because your Heavenly Father has given "His angels charge over you, to
keep you in all your ways."

Psalm 91:1-10 says,

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is
my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." Surely He
shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous
pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings
you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall
at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not
come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward
of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even
the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, nor shall
any plague come near your dwelling;

This means sickness and disease will not come near your house, provided you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. This passage goes on to say in verse
11: For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

Every one of us has a guardian angel. That angel has been keeping you from getting your head blown off many times over. He will keep you alive when you are a sinner, so that you can be saved. Notice that
verse 11 says you have angels, plural. Not only do you have angels, but
the Bible says God will give His angels charge over you. This means He
commissions them to mount guard over you.

However, the angels cannot do anything for you to the fullest extent possible unless you are willing to believe they are there, count on them and expect them to work for you. You have to dare to believe
it, dare to take God at His Word, and dare to confess it. Once you do
this, amazing things will happen.

Psalm 91:12-13 continues:

In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the
young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

These verses let us know that the devil and every demon are under our feet.

Psalm 91:14-16:

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set
him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I
will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and
honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.

My advice to you, friend, is to get this Word in you. Then confess it, and
dare to make it personal. Say out loud, "I dwell in the secret place of
the Most High, and I abide under the shadow of the Almighty. A thousand
can fall at my side, and 10,000 at my right hand, but no evil shall
come near me, because I dwell in the secret place of the Most High."

It is this kind of faith confession that makes God's Word work and puts the power into operation in your life.

Scripture For The Day: "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways." - Psalm 91:11(NKJV)

Satan YOU CANT WIN!!!

Hello everyone, My name is Joshlee, I am a Gospel Rap Artist in the Orlando area. I am creating this blog to share my testimonies on how good God is and how real he is. Yesterday was a very interesting day for me. it seem when Satan knows you have blessings of increase and favor just ahead for you, he will make all types of obstacles to keep you distracted from following Gods word. last night it was Tom Joyner's VIP meet and greet reception down here in Orlando for his 2k walk fundraiser he is having today. and the whole day leading up to it, Satan kept in my ear, "naw u dont need to go tonite, there will be plenty of other times" and "you need to hit the streets and make some money with these cd's" things of that nature. but as the day went on and i kept hearing these things, thats when i told myself im going and satan you cant stop me, and then he disappeared. i went there and i was able to meet people that God had intended me to meet. from the program director for the radio station, attorneys to movie producers and event planners in and out of Orlando. and to make it even sweeter, there were alot of members from my church there also, so when people asked about me, they were getting good rapport about me, and thats why people were walking up to me like "hey you the gospel rapper right? i got something going on can i get your contact info."

Prior to this, I had been trying to reach my friend for about 2 weeks about some studio time but couldnt reach him. so the day before, i asked "Lord please get Julio to call me. i havent spoken to him in a while" and left it at that. so after i left the reception im going home and my phone rings....guess who it is :-) i told him the story and he couldnt believe it. i dont even want to think about what could have happened if i would have listened to Satan and not went to the reception. i know that God is by my side everyday, so i reach my roots deeper to gain a more solid trust in him that he will and can take care of all my needs, and not let Satan deter me from it. walk by faith not by sight. please leave me your comments.

You Are Not Alone

Because
he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set
him on high, because he . . . [has a personal knowledge of My mercy,
love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never
forsake him].
— Psalm 91:14

God wants you to know you are not alone. Satan wants you to believe you are all alone,
but you are not. He wants you to believe no one understands how you
feel, but that is not true.

In addition to God being with you, many believers know how you feel and understand what you are
experiencing mentally and emotionally.

As God’s child, you can claim His wonderful promises. No matter what you are facing or how
lonely you may feel, know that you are not alone.

As you meditate on God tonight, draw strength and encouragement from knowing
He is always faithful and He will never forsake you.
